our VISION

818_Artboard 1 copy 2.png

818 The Sign is committed to providing passionate worship gatherings focusing on encountering God’s presence, love and power. 818 is calling for a generation to embrace their spiritual identity through intimacy with Jesus. Our desire is to raise up a new generation of prophetic leaders by training them not only in the gifts of the spirit, but also in biblical righteousness and justice to tackle the issues facing the hour in which we live. We are putting out a summons for a remnant that is not only hungry for God’s power through signs and wonders, but also want to become a sign and wonder. There is a remnant ready to make a difference, by being the difference. We believe God is raising up the next generation of prophetic voices who are ready to be voices for the voiceless. We believe that influence follows responsibility, and through the hope that is found in Jesus, we are calling forth those who are ready to become problem solvers to the world around them.

As a community, 818 The Sign is committed to healing the racial divide by bringing the body of Christ together. We are providing a vision of unity through diversity under the banner of love, forgiveness and collective synergy in response to Jesus prayer in John 17, that we would be one, so His glory would come, so that the world would believe. We believe that based on this passage, one of the greatest signs and wonders to the world, is unity through diversity in the church.

818 The Sign is also contending for an epic revival and spiritual awakening that will impact every sphere of society. It’s also our desire to equip a generation of prophetic evangelist to win a great harvest of souls from the classroom, to the boardroom and the marketplace. 818 also is committed to strengthening the family by creating a culture of life that starts in the home. We believe there is a remnant who desire supernatural power because they are ready for supernatural change that will influence everything around them. In essence, 818 is calling forth the passionate remnant that’s ready to step into their purpose as living witnesses of God’s supernatural love and redemptive power and become the signs of the turnaround.

WILLIAM FORD III

EXECUTIVE CO-DIRECTOR

Will Ford III is Co Founding Director of 818 The Sign, and is a Professor at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, TX.  As a Department Chair, he oversees the Marketplace Leadership Major.  Many know him internationally, however, for his family heirloom passed down through history, and its connection to slavery and prayer for freedom.

As a leader in the prayer movement, Will uses this “prayer bowl” (Rev. 5:8) as a catalyst for mobilizing prayer and teaching on prayer, unity, revival and societal transformation. He believes that it was the prayers of a godly remnant of all races—who were revivalists and abolitionists—that brought revival to America and ultimately ended slavery.  Receiving their mantle from yesterday, Will is actively training a new generation to release justice to the most marginalized today.

DEHAVILAND V. FORD

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dehavilland Ford serves as the primary visionary, with her husband Will, of The 818 Movement, which is committed to seeing revival and reformation sweep through the inner cities and all of America. Since she was 17 years old, Dehavilland has carried a passion for prayer. As a revivalist, she carries a forerunner message and has traveled across America and various parts of the world, including Africa, England, South America and Israel, preaching the gospel with a burning desire to see transformation in the earth. Dehavilland carries a deep burden to see a culture of life and an awakening of bridal love for Jesus released in our generation.
